Positive: Great location, the Quiet Bite cafe (0.3mile down the road) was great for morning breakfast butties or the Quiet Bar for a pint and pizza at night. Lots of local walks within easy reach but be warned they are hilly - but remember you are in the lakes. Thanks for the recommendations for the various walks in the cottage too. Also lots of towns just a 30minute drive away. If you have children check out Honister mine or the Puzzle Place in Keswick - great little finds. The property was well stocked with everything you could think of. A lovely welcome package of champagne and chocolates was also a great touch. Loved the stove which made a very relaxing addition to the cottage. The shower was magnificent, very powerful and such fluffy towels.

Negative: This is a very personal element but the only thing we didn’t like was, we found the beds to be too soft. They had a thick memory foam topper on which I know for some will be marvellous but for us not so much so. If you like a hard bed this may not be the place to stay for a good nights sleep
