Positive: Mannings has a great location in the city centre and we were pleasantly surprised to find such a large car park. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was pleasant.
Negative: The room had a slightly chain hotel type feel, which didn't quite match the characterful and historic feeling of the building itself. Decor with more character would be lovely. On staff member was very keen to end breakfast service at 9.25 when 9.30 is already pretty early for the end of hotel breakfast - we are more used to 10.00 at the weekend.
Summary: A very pleasant stay in a comfortable room and in a great location.
