Summary: I have never stayed in a basement flat before - the light was good, but we kept the shades down most of the time, just because of the pedestrian traffic - having said that - the pedestrian traffic is not heavy - it was just different for us. The flat is spacious but needs a little work in the bathroom particularly, but not a big deal. The bedroom looks out onto the original stairs down to the flat, and that area had not been cleaned for a long time. These are minor issues, and overall, we loved the location, Marleybone is a great neighbourhood with coffee shops, good restaurants and nice shops - Daunts bookshop is a must. I can't walk too far, but it was very easy to get a cab just outside the main door of the property. Just one suggestion, the flat could benefit from a manual with respect particularly to the TV and heating. And some times a guest book is nice to pass along recommendations for dinner etc. We also found the host to be responsive and friendly which is always appreciated.
