Positive: Le Miromar is located on the hillside about 4-500 m from the beach. High enough that the air was cool and there was some wind to chill us, and close enough that we could get to the beach rapidly. The house is exactly as on the pictures - a small two-storey building, which was perfect for us. There is an incredible attention to detail, everything was aimed at our comfort from the big things - comfortable bed, great kitchen, lovely terrace, barbecue - to the small ones - candles, welcome package of Ligurian specialties, cold drinks in the fridge, ... Our hosts were waiting for us and they very very helpful and friendly. We also appreciated the village, Riva Ligure a lot. It had the beauty of a seaside resort without the overload of foreign tourists. We had the impression that we got immersed into the local community. Nice restaurants, easy shopping for food. As a bonus the village is at the middle of the seashore cycling route so it is a convenient ride to San Remo or Imperia and back in the morning or late afternoon. Some of the medieval seaside and hillside villages are also worth a visit. If you are a partygoer, then you'll find enough buzz in the nearby places too.
Negative: Driving on winding Italian roads can sometimes be tiring - so if you are not ready for it, then don't come to Italy:)
