Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Host met us at the bus stop and drove us up to the apartment (much appreciated). Host was very responsive to any questions and requests (fan, iron, etc.) and came quickly when we noticed a leak. The property has a nice terrace with views of the sea and the mountains. It's easy to create shade there, and there's a nice sofa. There is quite a bit of green around. Cool floors and the ability to create shade inside the flat keep things from getting too hot. Being slightly out of the centre was an advantage for us, although it may be less attractive to others.
Negative: The apartment clearly wasn't geared to people who cook: we were constantly asking for missing items (ladle, larger pans ...). The microwave is in an awkward position on top of the fridge. There were absolutely no basics when we arrived (salt, oil, washing up liquid, sponges to wash dishes with, etc.). Parts of the flat seem to be under construction (one of the bathrooms stashed various tools, a ladder, etc.). The Wi-Fi was rather weak; the router had to be restarted several times.
Summary: Cozy place with nice views, although lacking in some comforts.
