Dining Room:
The dining room to the left of the foyer features a rustic white-washed oak table with seating for up to 8 people. The cognac woven leather and natural wood finish of the contemporary dining chairs bring elegance and warmth to the space. These touches create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere to host and dine a meal together.
Kitchen:
An archway separates the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, induction stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. It is also stocked with utensils, basic spices and oils, and non-stick cookware and bakeware sets. Coffee lovers can enjoy a variety of coffee makers (manual pour-over, automatic drip machine, coffee pod brewing station, and espresso maker). For non-coffee lovers, an assortment of tea is ready for you.
Living Room:
Across the kitchen peninsula is the living room. It features a pair of sensationally soft, matching sofas facing each other to make for a cozy conversation area. While the cottage welcomes guests to unplug from technology and connect with nature, family or friends, a 75-inch flat-screen smart TV is available for use. Note that cable is not provided, but guests are welcome to log-in to their streaming service providers to listen to music or watch shows or movies.
Outdoor Deck:
Step outside through the sliding doors from the living room to the outdoor deck. This space features side-by-side patio tables in deluxe teak finish surrounded by matte black bistro chairs to create a charming and comfortable seating for al fresco dining. Fire up the propane grill and/or use the fully-equipped kitchen to whip up delicious meals to enjoy with friends or family. Next to the outdoor dining area is the covered deck space with a wood frame sectional sofa and coffee table. Lean back and relax in the open air with a cup of coffee or cozy up in a soft blanket and read a book.
Backyard:
Walk down the stairs from the deck to the backyard area. Lake access is a quick stroll down the gently sloping lot. A single-slip covered dock is available for use starting in the spring time for our guests. Whether you're into swimming, fishing, kayaking, or simply lounging by the water, our private dock ensures you have the freedom to enjoy your time by the lake without any interruptions. A boat ramp is available only 3-minutes away if you wish to bring your own boat. Please note that the lake's water level is controlled by the Army Corps of Engineers. It drops seasonally from mid fall to spring.
Bedrooms:
Retreat to the master bedroom from the covered deck space through the sliding doors. The master suite features a queen-size bed and access to a private bathroom. It also has a walk-in closet for storage and a dedicated workspace for those looking to work from home. The high-speed internet supports remote at-home work and streaming services. Across the master suite and living room is a secondary bedroom with two twin-size beds. Down the hallway and across the dining room are the other two guest bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-size bed and one with a desk. Between the secondary bedrooms is a full bathroom.
Parking:
Three parking spaces are available for use on the premises (2 in the driveway and 1 in the garage). Street parking is prohibited due to the narrow roads in the neighborhood.
House Rules:
All the guests in the party shall review, agree and comply with all the house rules prior to booking. Violation of any of the house rules will result in termination of the reservation and forfeiture of all fees.
- No parties or events allowed.
- No smoking, vaping or use of illegal substances allowed on the premises.
- No pets allowed.
- No unregistered guests allowed (maximum capacity is 8 people).
- No third party bookings (reservations must be made by the guests themselves).
- Please respect check-in times (after 4 PM) and check-out times (10 AM).
- Please respect the noise curfew (quiet hours are between 10 PM to 7 AM).
- Please do not flush anything except toilet paper into the septic system (discard cleaning wipes, baby wipes, facial tissue, personal care products, paper towels, or even wipes labeled flushable or septic safe into the trash can).
- Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms.
- Please clean up spills and crumbs to avoid attracting unwanted critters.
- Please remove outdoor shoes upon entering the cottage.
- Please take care of the furnishings and do not rearrange the furniture.
- Please be advised that an inspection is completed prior to check-in and after check-out (guests will be notified of damages or missing items and charged as needed).
- Please note that the cottage is not baby-proof nor suitable for young children.
- All guests assume the risks and responsibilities associated with use of provided lake equipment and agree to hold the host harmless from any liabilities, including injuries, damages or losses, which could result from such activities. The kayaks, paddle boards and towable tube are provided as "extras" and the host makes no representations or warranties as to the safety or suitability of the equipment or the lake. Personal flotation and sound producing devices must be worn by all guests at all times when using the equipment. Life jackets and whistles are available but we recommend to bring your own for the perfect fit.
- Exterior security cameras and monitoring or recording devices are present at the front door and driveway for the safety of our guests and protection of our property. These devices are active and store 30 days of 24/7 video and audio recording.
- Security motion detection devices are positioned in the entryways into the cottage (front door, garage door, outdoor deck sliding doors, and crawl space door). These devices have no video, photo, or audio capabilities and are not active while guests are present. They are only active when the security alarm is engaged. It is being disclosed herein, in case any questions arise as to what these devices might be.
- Noise monitoring devices are located in the living room and outdoor deck to detect excessive noise prohibited by local ordinances. These sensors actively measure the decibel level of sound 24/7 and do not have a camera or audio recording function of any kind.
