'That Red House' is a custom built, lakeside home. The house design is eclectic and unique with both modern and Adirondack decor. The Great room is open and airy with a cathedral ceiling, surrounded by numerous windows with an unobstructed view of Black Mountain to the south. Teak wood and tile floors run throughout the house.
The gourmet kitchen, fully stocked with a wide variety of cooking implements, dishes, and cookware for any meal, is adjacent to the Great Room; the cook is never left out of the action! Nearby is a wet bar, dining area and powder room.
There is a 15' X 20' deck, accessed from the Great Room and master bedroom, which is perfect for simply relaxing or enjoying a meal with views of beautiful Lake George just 75' away. As well, there is a covered Adirondack porch, 7' X 16', which offers privacy and a spectacular view of the lake to the south.
The Master bedroom/bath is on the main floor which features a large tile shower, washer/dryer and an over sized sliding glass door to the deck. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, both with a view of the lake, are located on the lower level along with a triple bunk bed and a second full bath. A french glass door provides access to the lower (covered) sitting area complete with Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, patio and a breathtaking view of the lake.
We are part of an association which boasts a large, deep water U-shaped dock and well sized sundeck complete with colorful ADK chairs. There is a slip available for a boat up to 22 feet in length at the association dock. As well, I have 6 kayaks for our guests to use along with paddles and life preservers. Swimming off the deep water dock is a breeze due to two sturdy ladders making it easy to get in and out of beautiful Lake George. Guests with small children may wish to visit the town beach. Gull Bay town beach is an easy five minute drive from the house and is located in Gull Bay. It is a clean and quiet sandy beach that slopes gently into the water.
