Positive: The welcome was outstanding, with authentic and sincere old world charm, politeness, and kindness. The hostess served a superb, simple and delicious breakfast each morning, with homemade brioche, croissants and baguettes, and a selection of first-class jams and preserves she had made. The location is wonderful: an elevated view of an entirely natural landscape. From the large, open garden, the view of the sunset was superb. We slept wonderfully well in the complete silence. No barking dogs!

Negative: The short, sharp hill up to the house is a bit severe at the end of a long day's cycling in the heat, but the breeze, views and tranquility make that final effort worthwhile.

Summary: Old world charm and tranquility, with wonderful homemade breads and jams.
