Positive: Fabulous location on the river. Beautiful views. Nice pool. House was a comfortable size and layout. It was lovely to sit on the terrace in the morning and evening to eat. Host provided a kayak for on the river which was a very nice touch.
Negative: House was very damp so bed sheets and clothes felt damp. No door to ensuite bathroom, which exacerbated dampness and meant that the main bedroom had an unpleasant odour at times. The house was not very clean (old food splashes on kitchen tiles, grime in places, lots of old dust and cobwebs everywhere). I think the property is overpriced compared to other holiday properties I’ve stayed in.
Summary: Lovely property in beautiful location but did not meet expectations of cleanliness.
