Summary: A little disappointed I didn’t get a welcome drink and I did not want to ask for one, but it’s the first time I’ve stayed in a 5 star hotel and not been offered a welcome drink. I’d just come from the peninsula in London which was fabulous and was offered soft drinks and champagne on arrival there. But especially disappointing since I read other reviews seeing that they had gotten them. The staff were absolutely lovely, particularly the door staff who helped with luggage. I had to ring and ask where the iron was in the room, as there was an ironing board, told there was an iron in a drawer and there wasn’t. Had to wait a while for it to be sent up and ring down again as I was ironing a dress to go for dinner with friends. Over all, a beautiful hotel. The amenities in the room are a bit outdated (battered tresemme hairdryer and I borrowed a straightener which was an old ghd model) but I’m Justin
