Step back in time to this 6-acre 6 bedroom antique home, in a conservation-like setting surrounded by Morning Glory fields, horses, sheep and Tisbury Great Pond views. The only noise you'll hear are birds, farm animals, sometimes a tractor, and with the south wind, the ocean waves.
This large and unique family home was built in 1900 with a more recent addition and has an open kitchen with butlers pantry, 6 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 6 singles, beautiful old floors, clawfoot tubs, 3 fireplaces, a library and family room, large screened porch overlooking fields and the pond, an outdoor shower, and country gardens.
The house is surrounded by walking, running, hiking, and biking trails and though extraordinarily private, all amenities are close by. Short Cove, Sepiessa, and Long Point are minutes away, as is the West Tisbury Farmers Market, Alley's General store and 7A Foods (the best baked goods, coffee, sandwiches; everything you'll need for the beach). And that beautiful private beach is right down the road from Alleys. Your own key to the old gates of Hancock beach.
The best seafood and celebrated sunsets of Menemsha are a 10-15 minute drive, as are Chilmark, Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. A great central location.
Your host, Lynne, lives on-island, and is available for all your questions and to make you as comfortable as possible.
