Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the fresh air! The new 2 bedroom/2 bath Kanab Hideouts' Guest House on 60 secluded acres really is the place to hide away from the real world for a while. It's tucked between pinyon pines and juniper trees and situated off a private road. And, while you'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, you're actually only five miles east of the center of town. You can easily drive to local shops and restaurants.
Although this is a secluded property, please be aware that there are 2 other homes on the property which will either be rented or occupied by the owners. There are also horses on the property so please do NOT enter the barn unless the owners are present.
Master Bedroom - King bed, private entrance to patio, ensuite bathroom.
Ensuite Bathroom - Shower, complimentary body wash, shampoo & conditioner.
Guest Bedroom - Queen bed.
Guest Bathroom - Shower/tub combo, complimentary body wash, shampoo & conditioner.
Living room - Comfy chairs, coffee & end tables, gas fireplace, large Smart TV.
Kitchen - Fully equipped so you can prepare your favorite meals, dining table with seating for 5.
Washer & dryer with complimentary detergent & fabric softener.
Outside patio with table, seating and propane grill.
Rooftop deck with seating so you can star gaze the amazing dark skies at night.

Keypad lock to open the door. We will send you a private lock code prior to your reservation.
The Neighborhood:
This is a very private area and your closest neighbors will be in the other two homes on the property.
There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.
Equestrian and biking trails are also available.
Getting Around:
The home is located off a private road near mile marker 60 on Highway 89. Hwy 89A/89 takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.
Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.
Other Things to Note:
There are two other homes off the private drive on either side of the property. On the private driveway leading to the home there are two dips allowing for rain water that will not accommodate long wheelbase vehicles such as long trailers or motor homes. This home is also equipped with an exterior security system with security cameras for your safety. Please be aware that if we get a lot of rain, sometimes the dips/washes are unpassable so please don't attempt to drive a car through there until the flooding stops and the dips/washes are cleared out.
Again, please do not enter the barn or approach the horses unless the owners are present.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (77 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.
