Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Fantastic location. Next to both tourist areas and local services (market in Analco, self service laundromat). Located within a historic building with a traditional Spanish courtyard and beautiful trees that birds visit daily. I was at this location for three weeks (more like an apartment sublet) and was upgraded free to a room with private bathroom. Secure as staff (who live on site) monitor who enter and exit through a locking gate. It is locked 8-8 so this space is not a party hostel, which suited me. Similar to other hostels in Mexico in this price range, heat is not provided and hot water is best used in the early afternoon. Would be excellent space for longer stay to study Spanish. Would also be great for youth groups, hiking groups. They seem to have a big variety of rooms to suit different size groups and families.
Negative: Because the rooms are all located around a central courtyard, sound travels.
