Villa Denise is a charming villa with a private spring water swimming pool (heated for an extra fee, open from 15 may to 30 September and with a whirlpool area) and air-conditioned bedrooms, hidden away within just over 20 minutes' drive from the famous sandy beaches of Versilia and the medieval city of Lucca.
Recently redecorated, the house is furnished in a local country style with a blend of antiques and modern amenities. The house is almost completely powered by solar energy, with two charging stations for electric cars also available to guests at an additional fee.
The kitchen is everything you’d expect from a Tuscan villa and will satisfy the needs of keen cooks. A billiards room provides guests with some after-dinner entertainment, whilst the upper floor is divided into two separate wings: each wing accessible via its own spiral staircase from the ground floor.
The pool terrace is equipped with tasteful garden furniture and, like the house itself, faces south onto lovely views of the surrounding hills. Shaded outdoor seating is provided by two lovely loggias, the larger one equipped with a built-in barbeque and dining area for some memorable al fresco meals. Nestled amongst the beautifully kept terraced olive groves is a grass football pitch that can also be used as a tennis court (not professional). The grounds also feature a children’s play area.
Organic red and white wines along with olive oil are also produced on the estate which can be purchased locally from the lovely owners. The owners/caretakers, Elena and Agostino offer a fantastic “house concierge” for guests.
The villa is a very short drive from shops and restaurants. There is a small village, Monsagrati, offering all the necessary basics. Plan ahead with our Concierge to arrange meals, cooking lessons and additional maid service so that all the group’s requirements are fulfilled.
