Summary: Great location within feet of the cute Georgetown shops and 511 Rose (our favorite restaurant there). The beds are comfy, plenty of blankets to keep you warm on a winter night. The history of the house is interesting. Could use brighter lighting in the main bedroom and over the counter in the corner of the kitchen. Upon arrival, I panicked initially noticing no stove. There is in fact NO oven; however, there is a portable induction cooktop under the kitchen sink. The information in the house suggests looking up online to learn how to use an induction cooktop if you've cooked on one before. I tried and couldn't find instructions for that model. Winged it, and things turned out ok. Just don't plan on cooking any casseroles during your stay. It was warm enough one afternoon to open a window; however, the majority of them were painted shut or sealed with tape. The couple I was able open slammed shut immediately and would not stay open. The owner let me know that there are screens for the summer time, and the windows would stay open that way. Just don't know how that works on the painted shut ones.
