Summary: The 2 biggest reasons we chose this house were half-truths. Fireplace and game room. First, and most disappointing was that it is advertised as having a working fireplace and did not specify that the firepit is gas. Thus, I spent an extra $100 on firewood that I was unable to use because the fireplace is just for looks! Not cool. Second is the game room. The air hockey table is unusable because it is warped and there was not a full set of darts. Other issues: Dirty sheets in guest room that we needed to wash before we could go to bed. No soap for the washing machine. Dryer was full of lint and takes hours to dry anything. Dishwasher was extremely dirty in the bottom and full of nasty food and deposits and my husband had to clean it out for it to make anything clean. Many of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty and we had to wash the in order to use them! The coffee maker was disgustingly dirty and had mold so we had to clean that too. There were no wash cloths anywhere in the house, only towels. The hall bathroom shower is a dribble and there is no mat in the bathtub so it is extremely slippery and I almost fell. Our entire family had to use the master suite shower. There is a nest of hornets somewhere and we found about 6 crawling or flying over the several days we were there. The windows and doors are not properly sealed and cold air was coming in through these areas. I feel like we should be paid for staying in this house since we had to do so much to make it up to standard to what we paid for it!
