Fourth generation farm since 1943 featuring the pre-1875 house including a gas fireplace, wifi, and jacuzzi tub. Chester the orange mackerel tabby lives outdoors but would love to be in indoor cat. Conveniently located in northwest Holmes County and 10 minutes from Shreve and only 20 from Wooster, Millersburg or Loudonville. Enjoy a relaxing day in the country or local attractions - Sunny Slope Winery, Harveys Market (April through October), MawMaw's Diner, Brown's Lake Bog, and Holmes Pottery. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay at an old farmhouse on a real working farm, this is for you. If you're looking for one of those "brand-new perfect everything white fake farmhouses", you will be disappointed and whine because real farms are a little gritty and far from perfect! The grass isn't manicured, there might be some weeds, my chickens are old, and cats semi feral, the buildings need TLC, but it has character, history, and authenticity.

Summary: This property is so beautiful, especially during the fall time! My fiance and I came here for a peaceful fall getaway to explore Mohican State Park. The pictures and description reminded me of my grandparent's farm so naturally, I booked this place right away. We did get to see Chester the orange tabby as he was very friendly. It was so nice to walk around the property and admire the views. As someone who has a hard time sleeping, it was easy to do so here! The beds are very comfortable. I 100% would recommend booking this property.
