Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Located in the quiet village of Marigny near Lac de Chalain, the apartment was comfortably furnished with a nice balcony that overlooked the pool. We slept really well as it was so quiet and dark at night. One day we walked round the lake from the house and another day we went to the beautiful Herisson waterfalls which are only 20 minutes away. The swimming pool was pleasant and warm. The kitchen was well equipped with kettle, toaster and coffee machine, though a few more mugs would have been nice. 2 beautiful cats also made friends with us. It was great to be able to get a takeaway pizza from the on-site pizzeria.

Negative: It was not a problem for us but worth noting that you need to bring a bathmat and a towel for the swimming pool (1 large towel per person is provided), and all provisions such as tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper. You need to drive a short distance for shops and restaurants.

Summary: Very relaxing break in the beautiful countryside
