Positive: The apartment is exactly as pictured—bright, spacious, and filled with greenery. There was a noticeable, odd smell, but nothing unpleasant. The highlight of the apartment was the kitchen. It came impressively well-stocked with essentials: salt, pepper, garlic, olive oil, condiments, foil, a baking sheet, a roomy fridge, and a clothes washer. The working dishwasher (with tabs included) was a major plus and one of the main reasons we booked this place. Check-in was smooth with a lockbox, and the apartment was fairly clean, with very little (if any) cat hair. The Wi-Fi worked without issues, and there was an elevator, which made access easy. The balcony was a nice touch, although less inviting due to a pigeon nest in the flowerbed. The location worked well for us. There’s a Monoprix and a Lidl nearby, and Telegraphe metro station is just a 5-minute walk away, with a direct line to Châtelet in around 12 minutes. While the neighborhood isn’t upscale, it’s functional and well-connected. For green space and atmosphere, Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is about 700 meters away—great for walking, and sunset views.
Negative: The bathroom itself was disappointing and not shown in the listing photos. Very small, painted black, and dimly lit, it felt more like a nightclub restroom than something in a home. In the bedroom, the double-sink bath area was better, with ample storage and some counter space, and included a hairdryer. However, the shower base drained poorly, causing water to spill into the bedroom floor. We ended up using the shower head in the tub, which was functional but not ideal. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were unusually tall and quite uncomfortable. Storage space was generous, though one drawer was already in use. There’s no TV, and while there was a projector, we didn’t really try to figure it out. Would I stay again? Yes. We stayed for one week, and despite a few shortcomings, the apartment’s spaciousness, kitchen amenities, and convenient metro access made it a solid option—especially for longer stays or anyone who enjoys cooking.
