Our beautiful, spacious, comfortable, light filled contemporary home, set on 5 acres, is a nature lover’s delight, is being listed for the first time. This home is perfect for families or friends who want to share.
Conveniently located less than 10 minutes to Great Barrington, West Stockbridge and Stockbridge, the house is set back off the road with a driveway that winds through lush forest to open up to the sunny, private home site. The grounds are meticulously manicured, with gardens that have been featured in the book "Great Gardens of the Berkshires.” With extensive hiking trails right out the back door, our home is truly a nature lover's paradise. A koi pond in the back with running waterfall delights the senses.
Inside, the home is equally inviting, with 8 individually zoned A/C spaces. The first floor has an open kitchen befitting a gourmet chef with a 6 burner Viking Stove and extensive kitchen appliances. The dining and living areas are light-filled and spacious providing lots of room for meals or to relax with friends. A powder room, a TV room with a 65” smart tv, an office, and a laundry room complete the first floor. A full size pullout sofa bed is also available in the office/den/extra bedroom.
The second floor has 3 generous bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. The master bedroom is exceptionally large with skylights, cathedral ceiling, a large walk in closet and access to the second floor porch that overlooks the Koi Pond, waterfall and extensive gardens in the back of the house. The balcony library has an elliptical trainer that overlooks the living room. One of the bedrooms has a desktop computer available for your use.
Outside is a deck that wraps around 3 sides of the house giving you multiple angles to view the gardens. Outdoor dining is available in the front and back of the house with a grill for barbequing in the back. The 2 car attached garage is available for those renting a week or longer.
This house has been our home and a work of love for 28 years. We very much look forward to sharing it with you.
