Glennhouse Getaway is an elevated nature escape that is conveniently located between downtown South Haven, Douglas and Saugatuck, MI. It is beautifully surrounded by a private beach, sand dunes, driftwood, beach stones, and the sound of waves.
The light yet homey coastal theme is enjoyed throughout its 4 bedrooms and multiple spaces for gatherings. There is a bathroom on both the first and second floor of the home.
Kiss the summer sun on the wrap around spacious deck, embrace the sunset on the sand steps away, or take in the moon and sea of stars at night by the fire-pit encased by trees. Any meal can be enjoyed inside or outside on the second screened-in, three season porch and entertainment during the winter remains warm with a hot tub beside the fluffy snow.
Cook your meals with ease as all kitchenware is provided (pots, pans, bowls, utensils, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, bath and hand towels, washcloths, and soap), as well as a coffee bar. Starter packs of shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, paper towels, and dish soap are also provided.
Our vision is to create a clean, comfortable, and inviting getaway for every single one of our guests. A professional (Covid-compliant) cleaning is included in every rental package. Upon arrival, there is a brochure available of all the happenings as well as activity ideas for entertainment/relaxing. Summary: We chose this house for its location and size as we were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and her wish was to keep it simple with the family. Everyone loved the big screened in porch and most of the time was spent there. I can only vouch for the bed in the master bedroom but it was very comfortable. The TV room is great with a large screen TV for movie nights. The house could use a little routine maintenance and the internet router is located in a lower bedroom closet, which gives poor coverage to the entire house and the signal in the street is better than that on the porch. This sounds petty, but the cell phone signal is very low so we were dependent on Wi-Fi calling. It's something that could be easily fixed with a properly placed booster or whole house mesh. The neighborhood has a private access beach which is great. The road going down will give you a good workout coming back up but there is ample parking. For our beach days we drove a vehicle with the beach supplies. Overall the stay was great and a good time was had by all.
