Flying Alligator Riverside Hideaway | Cabin in Breaux Bridge, LA

2 Bedroom Cabin with Internet, Kitchen and Laundry
This one-bedroom cabin on the Atchafalaya River at the Butte LaRose exit is nestled not only in a protected wilderness area, but jump on the I-10 freeway three miles down the road from the cabin and head for Breaux Bridge to take in Cajun music, or take an airboat tour in nearby Henderson Swamp, or take the next exit to Lafayette for more fine dining and live music in their historic downtown.
Don't bring the children or the pets though, the river has plenty of alligators. If you are lucky you will see beaver, wood ducks, and migrating waterfowl too. There are wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding areas, or you can venture to the outskirts of Breaux Bridge or Lafayette for nice trails.
In addition to the one private bedroom, the camp has an outdoor swinging bed for two in the screened-in porch. The screened porch area is huge and faces the river towards the East. In addition to an indoor bath tub, there is an outdoor shower, and a large pier with a stunning view.
You won't find TV or WIFI here, so be prepared to retreat to the sounds of nature.
The camp was built by Cajun men as a hunting/fishing camp. Today it is owned by an artist and the theme is hunting/fishing/art.
