This 2148 square ft, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home sleeps 8 comfortably. Make memories fishing, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, sledding & exploring the ATV & snowmobile trails in the area!
WHERE YOU'LL BE
Only 1.5 hours from Minneapolis/St Paul and minutes from Spooner, Webster, Siren and Shell Lake. The lake house is located on a private, dead end road.
Bashaw Lake is 170 acre lake with a max depth of 16 feet. It is a full recreational lake, which explains the weekend jet-skiers, tubing and water sports. For the most part, Bashaw Lake is a very quiet fishing lake.
You will have access to our dock and there is a boat landing on the south end of the lake. We do have a Pontoon Boat available for an additional charge or feel free to bring your own boat. Fishing is great year-round and includes largemouth bass, northern pike, walley, catfish and panfish. Bashaw Lake is known to be a great ice fishing spot!
There are several ATV, Snowmobile and hiking trails to explore. There are over 60 miles of summer motorized recreational trails and over 300 miles of winter motorized trails in the area. The Burnett County Segment of the Gandy Dancer Trail is just over 20 miles and passes through Siren, Webster and Danbury. It is used for walking and biking in the summer/fall and open to snowmobile and ATV use during the winter. There are also great snowshoing and cross country skiing opportunities in the area and on the lake!
Timberland XC Ski Trails are located 13 miles from the Lake-house. Well cared for and groomed for classic and skating techniques and also offers trails for snowshoeing and fat tire biking.
The Clover Meadow Winery and Distillery is 3 miles from our property. It is the only ceritfied organic winery in the midwest. The St. Croix Casino Hertel is only 8 miles away from the lake house. There are many shops, restaurants and bars in Shell Lake, Siren, Spooner and Webster.
THE SPACE
This year-round home combines the Up North lake feel with the comforts of home. This well-appointed compound has three sleeping areas and plenty of group spaces for guests to spread out and get comfortable. If you choose to work while on vacation, there’s 10 mbps Wi-Fi and a desk off the dining room for an assigned work space.
We have two lounging areas. The main living room had a 55 inch smart TV and a supersized couch. There is a newer fieldstone gas fireplace to cozy up to on those chilly fall and winter evenings. The basement seating area has a walk out patio with views of the lake, a couch, a reclining chair, DVD palyer and a gaming counsel (xbox 360) and another 50 inch smart TV.
Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with a center island and a huge kitchen table for playing board games and gathering for dinners. There are all of the amenities of a fully equipped kitchen such as a microwave, dishwasher, keurig, toaster, blender, crock pot, pots and pans, dishes and cooking utinsils.
The primary bedroom is on the main level and has a private bath, brand new king size bed and a 50 inch smart TV. There is a huge walk in closet, two dressers and a luggage rack. Two additional bedrooms in the basement provide comfortable and quiet spaces. One has a new queen size bed, smaller TV with DVD player, dresser, closet and luggage rack. The third bedroom has two single bunk beds with trundles and another 50 inch smart TV. We also have a queen size blow up mattress if additional sleeping space is desired.
The real gem of this home is the supersized west facing deck with breathtaking views of the lake. There are several seating areas on the deck, including a couch and large dining table. We gave a brand new weber grill available for your use as well.
