Live "French style" in our new 35m2 studio which will warmly accommodate you in the historic Saint Louis district of Versailles town.
It is situated only 6 minutes' walk away through beautiful streets from the Versailles Palace and from the RER C station (which leads quickly and directly to Paris down-town: Eiffel Tower, Orsay Museum, Notre-Dame, etc...).
Shops, cafés and restaurants are literally seconds away from your door.
The rate includes all utilities, high quality bed-linen, large towels, unlimited internet access with WIFI, and free phone to over 120 countries landlines.
The building dates from the 18th century but our classic studio was renovated in May 2014. We are on the “noble” second level (“étage noble” in French) where ceilings are over 10 feet high. Only a few steps to climb, easy for bringing your luggage and your shopping. The access to the building is secured by two digital access codes.
In the bright main room with its French traditional flavor, you will find a double bed and a double sofa-bed (both 140cm wide).
We have designed a kitchen separated from the main room, equipped to the best standards. To save on your shopping time, we provide you a starting supply of spices and condiments. Shampoo and shower-gel are also provided so you do not have to bring your own, making your travel bags lighter!
On top of these, we have prepared two adult bicycles for you to stroll the streets and parks of Versailles at leisure.

What to see in our neighborhood ?
The Palace of Versailles is a set of remarkable constructions which consist of the Royal Palace itself, the Orangerie, the World famous gardens, the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon and the Queen's Hamlet.

Also, the town of Versailles in its St. Louis and Notre Dame areas shows a splendid architectural unity, as it was built mainly in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and it offers wonderful walks and discoveries. Do not be afraid of falling from starvation, there are more than 200 bars and restaurants where you can restore your strength.
To help you a little at the beginning: a few meters from our place, the rue du Maréchal Joffre is bordered on one side by the Saint Louis Cathedral (1754) and on the other by the Potager du Roi (the King's Vegetable Garden), which you can visit and where you can buy fruits and vegetables as they were provided to the Royal Court . You can walk 3 minutes further and see the Carrés Saint Louis, a 1737 'shopping mall' !
-In the opposite direction , right after crossing the rue de l'Orangerie, our street becomes the pedestrian rue de Satory, lined with shops and restaurants. Fancy a croissant in the morning? This is also the path that leads to the castle of Versailles (6 minutes from our place).
You can also walk 3 minutes to the west and enjoy watching, opposite the Orangerie, the Pièce d'eau des Suisses, a beautiful pond partly built by the Swiss Guards of Louis XIV in 1678.

What about Paris, 17 km away ?
Many Versaillais commute every day to Paris. To go to Paris by public transport is very easy, the RER C is 6 minutes walk from the studio (Versailles Rive Gauche station) and takes you in 30 minutes directly to the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d'Orsay or Notre-Dame stations.
If you want to go to La Défense, you should instead take the A or H bus for 10 minutes to reach the Versailles Rive Droite station where the train (L line) will bring you there in 20 minutes.

An ideal base for touring the West of Paris
If you have a vehicle, you can take advantage of our location in Versailles to avoid traffic jams and visit more easily the area west of Paris that is quite interesting. Some suggestions:
-11 km away, the Château de Monte-Cristo , a surprising villa that Dumas built with his copyrights from the novel of the same name in 1846.
-12 km away, the Château de Malmaison, owned by Josephine de Beauharnais, Napoleon's first wife. The Museum houses beautiful Empire style furniture.
-15 km away, Saint Germain en Laye, the birthplace of Louis XIV , do not miss the seventeenth century narrow streets and the National Museum of Archaeology in the Royal Castle of Saint Germain en Laye ( 30,000 objects from prehistory to the Merovingian dynasty).
-65 km away, Giverny, Home and Garden of Claude Monet. Everything has been restored to the condition that the artist has known . Beautiful gardens and a house with a soul ... 10 km on the way back, you should visit La Roche-Guyon, a picturesque village with a surprising castle built against, into and on top of the chalk cliffs overlooking the Seine valley.
