Relax and unwind here overlooking a quiet cove on Kentucky Lake. High on a bluff tucked into the side of hill and surrounded by trees on all sides except for the driveway/parking area.
Casual and comfortable furnishings... nothing fancy. Feel free to kick off your shoes and relax here! Floors are finished concrete, there's even a water hose outside to wash off yourselves or your pups after a day kayaking, fishing or just sitting relaxing by the lake.
On a small country road (it's paved). There is one house in sight, next door. No other houses, woods lake and wildlife until you go about 1/2 mile past this spot. Masons Boat Dock and Marina is about a mile away with free boat launch/ kayak launch.
Open living area and kitchen. Set up with a queen bed in the living area so guests can wake up with view of the water from the window. Living area has sofa. Kitchen has 2 bar stools at counter to eat while looking out. The whole living area features plenty of windows to maximize view of trees and water (in summer water is peek a boo because of trees).
Kitchen has refrigerator, full size stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave.
Bathroom has shower only, no tub.
One bedroom has a queen bed.
Second bedroom/flex room is set up with a single futon and a desk. Can be a work area or a sleeping spot... door closes for privacy.
Fast wireless internet. No TV service.
Heating and cooling is from window units and space heaters. It naturally stays insulated because of the setting on hillside and trees so heat is rarely needed. The new window units cool this place in a hurry when needed! There's often a nice breeze off the lake, all the windows open up to enjoy it when wanted.
Steep driveway. In severe weather park at base of driveway or use 4 wheel drive. Several parking spots at base of driveway.
Eagles Perch is named in honor of the bald eagles we see occasionally soaring over the lake or perching in a tall tree by the water. Lots of wildlife, birds, deer, even occasionally a bear.
