This meticulously renovated midcentury space in the heart of Hilltop was once a doctor's office! Now, you can enjoy in-city living with ten 4+ star rated restaurants/bars, a light rail station and a supermarket all within two blocks. Features three bedrooms, two full baths, central AC, kitchen, washer/dryer, WIFI, CAT5, living room with smart TV and private parking spot off street. Between two major hospitals with easy access to UW Tacoma, freeways, parks and museums described in detailed guidebook. There is only one step to get into the home, zero thresholds inside, and an oversized bathroom with three-foot door.
This Space is part of the Tacoma Medical Center, an open-air medical complex built in the 1940s. Since then, the area has adopted mixed zoning and residential uses have become possible. The exterior of the home is mid-century minimal & sleek brick. The detached unit still bears the tile inlay of Dr. Murray's office - see photo. On the inside, everything you see and cannot see is new. The single step up to the front door leads into a spacious living room with a smart TV, dining table, couches & reading nook. Two bedrooms contain queen beds and one bedroom has a full bed. Closets in each room to tuck away luggage and personal items. Main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with tub. Second bathroom between kitchen & living room is very spacious with bathtub. Washer and dryer just off of the kitchen. This space is cool in more ways than one - there's air conditioning too! Kitchen is fully stocked to make a delicious meal, but you may not use it with all of the amazing restaurants steps away.
There is one designated parking spot in the alley, directly in front of the home. There is also free street parking on L street on the opposite side of the unit.
Easy walking access to Safeway to grab groceries, coffee shops, restaurants, and more. Downtown is walkable from the home if you are up for a longer stroll. Buses, Uber/Lyft are also available in the area to go a little farther.
