Guests can walk down to the New River from the cabin.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: It is a steep walk and may be muddy at times so pack appropriately.
Enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking! You can drop your rafts in, take a vehicle down to New River State Park, and spend an afternoon rafting down the New River! We do not provide equipment but guided service businesses can get you geared up; as well as guided fly and reel fishing.
The neighborhood is BEAUTIFUL to walk around and along the New River.
**THE SPACE**
-1000 sq ft of coziness
-Main level features master bedroom and full bath (stand up shower only) as well as full kitchen, living room and gas fireplace. Also available on this level is the fun bunk bed room with two full beds....perfect for the kids.
-Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms both with queen beds and a half bath in between.
-Small basement with separate, outdoor entrance includes laundry room and full bath (with bathtub)
-Gas grill
-ALL BEDROOMS HAVE A SMART TV/ROKU
-Sheets will be cleaned and folded at the end of each bed for sanitary reasons.
-AC/HEAT, GAS FIRE, BOARD GAMES
Guests will have access to entire house and land around it. Driveway is a circle drive around the fire pit and will hold enough vehicles for your stay.

- The cabin is on the south fork of the NEW RIVER
-Boone 25miles
-Blowing Rock 30miles
-West Jefferson 7miles...restaurants, farmers market, breweries, golf courses, terrific shopping, including antique stores and art galleries, even a movie theater! This is small-town Americana at its finest. There is a convenience store about three miles away. The grocery store (Ingles with STARBUCKS ) is about seven miles with a Walgreens, Super Walmart and all other stores about the same distance.
-Blue Ridge Parkway 7miles...numerous photo opportunities, hiking and bicycling trails and breathtaking long range vistas at the many scenic overlooks.
-For skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and snow tubing...

Other things to note:
1. Unfortunately, we do not have a dishwasher. This has not been a problem but we do want to give a heads up as the dishes do need to be cleaned and left in the drain prior to departure.
2. Because we are on a private road, trash services do not collect for the cabin. Guest will need to take the trash with them to the Ashe County convenience center located at 2256 NC HWY 163, West Jefferson, NC **NOTE** This center is closed on Sundays so you may have to take the trash with you if you check out on Sunday.
