Located near the doorstep of Pikes Peak with 10,000 acres of adventure! It's in the quaint mountain village of Green Mountain Falls. Relax on the back patio and gaze at the beauty of the foothills. This property sits in an ideal location which offers trailhead access to many spectacular hikes, several with waterfalls. The cottage offers gorgeous views, & just a short walk to Green Mtn Falls Lake and gazebo, a pool, playground/tennis courts, restaurants, & a Tavern. It's called a slice of heaven!
The space
Our Cozy Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath property that is just a few minutes walk from the front door to the “downtown”of Green Mtn Falls with great restaurants, a lake, waterfalls, a pool (check status of opening during COVID), and so much more! This Cottage is in the foothills of Pikes Peak and you will want to note that there are 22 stairs to access it. The Cottage itself is 2 floors with a cozy TV/game room downstairs. Enjoy artwork from a local photographer of many amazing local scenic and wildlife captures. But the hangout spot you’ll fall in love with is the back patio with a grill and plenty of tables and seating, a kiva (can be used if there is no fire ban) and propane fire pit (can be used when fire ban in place) and killer views of the sunset over the foothills of Pikes Peak. We’re quite sure you won’t want to leave.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the entire 3 bedroom, 1 bath Cottage. In an effort to protect our mountain septic system, the laundry room is only available to guests staying with us a full week.
Other things to note
You are only a 3 minute walk to the Green Mtn Falls Lake which is stocked periodically throughout the Spring and Summer. There are several great summer events right in Green Mtn Falls. One is The Green Box Art Festival which takes place late June and early July and offers many free and fantastic workshops like blacksmithing, music lessons, ballet performances, cooking classes, and astronomy classes, and activities for all ages. There are art installations around Green Mtn Falls associated with the Green Box Art Festival (see pics on site of past installations). On 4th of July, there is a live band at the bandstand near the lake and free dance lessons are usually offered!! Another event is the Annual Thin Air Car Show (see pics). Bronc Days is another yearly event which began in 1939! Bronc Days takes place the end of July. There is a parade, pie cooking contest, vendors, live entertainment, bounce houses, Victorian dance lessons and boat races on the lake (see pics). In addition, there are a couple live big band concerts at the lake gazebo, that are given free to this awesome community.
