THE HOME
Our rental home 'Castel Graby' is located in the village, 100m from the historic centre of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val.
This medieval village of the 'Gorges de l'Aveyron' is now famous worldwide for its quality of life and charm through the film 'The Hundred-foot Journey' produced in 2014 by Steven Spielberg starred with actress Helen Mirren.
The house has a living area of 200m² and includes:
On the ground floor, overlooking the garden, a large sunny living room of 65m² with a parquet floor + bathroom with toilet and a large summer kitchen.
This large room can also accommodate courses (yoga, dance, music ...) seminars or family meetings.
On the first floor there is a 100m² apartment with 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room,
bathroom with bath, separate toilet and a small terrace garden.
Central heating throughout the house + air conditioning in the large living room.
One side of the house overlooks the village with shops nearby and
the other side a large garden, reserved for your exclusive use, of over 500m². this garden is part of a private closed park of 8000m² which gives the impression of being in the countryside, a complete break from the busy nearby village.
From this base everything can be done on foot, shopping, swimming and walks
(many hiking trails from the village).
The house offers two bathrooms, three toilets and two TVs one with a big screen and home cinema, 2 refrigerators with freezer, dishwasher, a table for 12 people, garden furniture (tables and chairs), plancha, swings...
WIFI available in the area.
We can provide sheets and towels if desired
The house can accommodate up to 12 people
Possibility of having 1 or 2 additional bedrooms, depending on the season, in an adjoining house
The rental price varies according to season, number of guests and length of stay.
Rent usually starts and ends on Saturday (arrival from 4pm, departure 10 am).
In July and August weekly rentals only. The rest of the year weekend rentals or day rentals are possible.

THE VILLAGE AND ITS REGION
SAINT-ANTONIN-NOBLE-VAL is located 100km from Toulouse in the Tarn-et-Garonne, at the junction of three beautiful regions: Quercy, Rouergue and Albigeois.
The village is dominated by the towering Roc d'Anglars at the entrance to the 'Gorges de l'Aveyron'
10 years before the cameras sent by Spielberg, Saint Antonin had already been noticed since it had provided the framework for many scenes in the Australian film 'Charlotte Gray' with Cate Blanchett in 2003.
The medieval city (with its masterpiece La Maison Romane, the oldest civic building in France) is pleasantly surrounded by the cities of Cahors (60 km), Villefranche de Rouergue (45km), Albi (50 km), Montauban (40 km) and Gaillac (35 km).
The old medieval town is busy during the summer.
The hikers who roam the marked paths that traverse the wild plateau come across climbers who conquer the steep cliffs of the Gorges, kayakers descending the river Aveyron, cyclists and mountain bikers in search of fresh water and enthusiasts of Romanesque architecture, who marvel at the corner of every street.
You will find most food shops on site ( 2 bakeries, a grocery shop with quality local produce and two medium sized supermarkets) but also many artisan shops, cafes, restaurants ( in all price ranges) and taverns at the water's edge.
A big famous local produce market settles every Sunday morning in the streets of the old city and attracts the entire region
All shopping can be done in the village on foot, and the car is never necessary when one is on site.
The village is located in a protected natural area (Gorges de l'Aveyron), close to
the medieval sites of Cordes-sur-Ciel (voted 'Favourite town of the French' in 2014), Penne, Bruniquel (place of filming of 'The Old Gun'), Najac, Castelnau de Montmirail ...
