Located two blocks from City Park, Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science, this space has all the comforts of home. Pack light and live like a local in a hip space complete with full kitchen, washer/dryer and amazing queen bedroom. Walk to Colfax eateries and nightlife, Denver Botanic Garden and other top-shelf attractions. Downtown, RiNo and more are a short Uber ride away!
The Space:
The carriage house has a private entrance and is completely autonomous. The main living area boasts a comfy couch and TV with Roku, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventures. The kitchen has bar seating for two, refrigerator, range, oven, and the all-important coffee maker.
Under high ceilings, you will find sweet dreams in the queen bed with serene minimalist furniture. Light floods in from windows and skylights -- you will definitely appreciate our famous 300+ days a year of sunshine! And the bathroom has everything you need, including a walk-in shower.
As much as we love the space, the real star here is the location. You’re a mere two blocks from City Park -- which also houses the zoo and science museum -- and a 15-20 minute walk to mouthwatering grub at Tacos Tequila Whiskey, Denver Biscuit Company (DBC), Illegal Pete’s, Voodoo Doughnut and more. We like to grab a leisurely DBC breakfast or brunch and then stroll to Denver Botanic Gardens. It’s a lovely walk through a historic neighborhood! Or visit the gardens and enjoy dinner at Shells & Sauce, a peerless trattoria just a short walk away.
Downtown and the RiNo Arts District are a cheap Uber ride from home. And don’t forget, when you’re in Denver you’re never more than an hour away from the mountains. We know you’ll love this town as much as we do!

The Neighborhood:
City Park West
Our neighborhood gets its name from the nearby 314-acre park, which is also the home of the adorable residents at the Denver Zoo. You’ll see plenty of locals commuting — by bike and car — between the city’s west side and downtown. To the south, East 17th and East Colfax avenues are bustling cultural corridors that draw people of all ages to their buzzing blocks.
Weathervane Cafe, Onefold, or Syrup are all wonderful places to start your day, since they all open early. At lunchtime, check out Dos Santos, Illegal Pete’s, or Atelier by Radex. Not full yet? Pho & Bar or Mile High Hamburger Mary’s should do the trick. For a pick-me-up, swing by Doppio Coffee or St. Mark’s Coffeehouse, which has a fabulous back patio.
It’s easy to find a tasty libation in this neighborhood. Vine Street Pub & Brewery serves Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery pints. Irish Snug is stocked with more than 70 whiskeys. Thin Man Tavern is known for its house-infused vodkas. And Kinga’s Lounge is an unexpected headquarters for karaoke.
If you do one thing (and you happen to be visiting at the right time) be sure to neighborhood hop into City Park itself for City Park Jazz, a summertime ritual. The free Sunday concerts start in June, and the music doesn’t stop for 10 weeks. Pack your own picnic, spread out a blanket, and enjoy!
Getting Around:
Our neighborhood and the areas to the south of us are crazy walkable! Enjoy exploring the historic environs by foot. The closest light rail station is at 25th and Welton, about a 30-minute walk away. Like most cities, Denver is an easy place to hail an Uber or Lyft. If you brought your car, feel free to park on the street. Parking at City Park, the Zoo and the Botanic Gardens should be easy to find. Downtown can be tricky, so consider hailing a ride share or grabbing one of the many rental scooters and bikes scattered around town. I-70 West takes you straight into the mountains, while I-25 is the main North-South artery. There is so much to explore in this amazing state!
