Positive: The private beach and view was amazing. It was really peaceful hearing the ocean waves through the window and convenient to be able to take an elevator down to the beach with minimal walking. The black sand beach and clear waters were beautiful. It was very quiet and isolated away from the noise of the busier parts of the town.

Negative: The cleanliness was an issue. While the interior for the flat was all clean, there was an infestation for the overall block of flats building. On the last night before our departure, there were multiple cockroaches roaming around the public area near the beach where the loungers (umbrellas and sun bathing beds) were. The roaches get into the property from the outside on the balcony. Luckily, we didn't see any come inside. However, a rat did come inside the property and ran under the sofa/couch. The property has spray cans for roaches and rats in the cupboard, so it's clear the host is trying to do something about the problem for the flat specifically. However, it seems the rats/roaches infestation seems to be more of a general problem of the overall building. Exterminators need to go and treat all the apartments as well as the outside area and perimeter otherwise the problem won't go away. Other than this, the shower door was broken and difficult to slide open and closed. We also didn't like that the electricity was turned off on arrival so we had to hunt around to find the mains box to turn it on. This caused us to lose time that we needed to turn on the wifi and confirm our activity booking that evening. You also needed to access the internet on your phone to get the wifi password they send you over email, which is difficult when there's no signal since you're in a remote location. It would be better to put a card or piece of paper in the property with the wifi details.
