Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Favorite thing was how well outfitted the house was for toddlers and dogs. Everything was very clean. Short walk to the historic graveyard made for a great scenic and introspective morning exercise. Short drive to Sisters is convenient. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunrises.

Negative: NEST THERMOSTAT!!! It's set way too aggressive towards energy savings. Getting out of bed at 5AM with toddlers to a house that is literally 60 degrees is NOT fun. Doesn't matter what you set it to before you go to bed. The only saving grace is that you don't freeze at night because the bed covers do keep you toasty warm. Of lesser annoyance, also an overly aggressive energy saver, the water heater. You barely get one good shower out of it before it goes cold. I'm all for saving energy within reason, but property management should only drop the water heater and thermostat when the house is vacant. Even the cheapest motel room gives you complete control of the thermostat and an essentially endless supply of hot water. Please and Thank You.
