Summary: Prior to arrival, communication was excellent in regard to check-in. Upon arrival, the property's outdoor amenities had not been attended to in who knows how long. All the deck furniture was filthy and filled with spiderwebs. The landscaping had not been attended to. We could barely see the ocean from the front deck. All the landscaping had been way overgrown. The inside of the home was attended to. However, the towels were not fresh. I had to wash all towels. I did reach out to the host, and they were attentive. However, I paid for a property as advertised in the photos, and this was not what I experienced. The host tried to resolve the problem, but unfortunately, the landscaping company was unavailable for another few weeks. Really, this should not be my problem! The company should attend to the maintenance of the property regularly and not once in a while. As to one of the prior posts noted on June 2023, I brought up these concerns regarding the landscaping and rodents to AvantStay prior to our stay. They assured me that there were no rodents, and they monitor all posts and rectify any concerns or issues with the property. This was not the case. Halfway into our stay, we did hear something in the walls at 3 am. On the last night, I saw a mouse run across the living room floor into the kitchen. YUCK! I could not sleep knowing it was in the house. But it makes sense bc regular maintenance is neglected. This, by far, has been the worst VRBO property I have ever stayed at!
