Blue Heron is a great spot for your next vacation. This house is situated right on Stony Lake, and there is a public boat launch and deeded dock space near the house! The guest access to Stony Lake is right at the end of Beverly Street where the dock is! This is just a short walk from the house. Unfortunately, you cannot get to the lake right in front of Blue Heron. The home also has 2 kayak's and tubes so you can float around Stoney Lake! Lake Michigan is just a short drive from the house.
This property sleeps 12 people in six bedrooms! There are two bedrooms on the main floor, both have a king bed. The main floor also has laundry and a full bathroom. Upstairs has four more bedrooms! Three of the bedrooms have king beds and one of the bedrooms has a queen bed. There is also a full bathroom upstairs. This home is very spacious, the living room is large, a wonderful covered deck with gas grill, and has great views of the lake!This home does not have air conditioning and is not pet friendly.

Summary: Was it perfect? No Would we stay again? Yes! IN SHORT: Good bones and we had a nice stay. This property seems to be getting off the ground as a rental. Big space, nice location, but lacked some of the originally advertised amenities. Housekeeping is good but maintenance could be improved. Could be great with some adjustments. PROS: Lots of room in the house. Great for large/multi-family. Nice view from the deck over nature. Has living rooms on both 1st and 2nd floors for everyone to spread our & relax. Comfortable beds & sheets. Clean towels & bathrooms. Lots of counter space and a larger dining room table. Lots of seating indoors. Near the end of the street & quiet. Only 8min to Lake MI beach and only 20min from the dunes. CONS: Firepit is at the property line (neighbor’s satellite dishes are over your shoulder). An inch-tall pile of dead bugs inside of window screens and live bugs in one of the sinks. One of the TV’s had no power cord. No floats (as advertised). Two kayaks present but only one paddle, all located at the end of an unmaintained path. Lake access is shallow (could only launch a canoe/kayak there). Several broken fans. Loose carpet tiles on stairs. Only a couple of chairs on the deck and one was broken. Rental agreement seemed overboard (which made us think twice, but ultimately was OK). In the end, we like the location and love space in the home. We’d rent again and hope that this feedback helps make this place even better for next year!
