Beach vibes in this cozy space make for a comfortable home base while you explore Portland's Munjoy Hill neighborhood. The apartment is situated in the East End, a short walk to the Eastern Promenade, local grocery, great restaurants and bakeries. Head to the East End Beach, or paddle to the islands in Casco Bay. Walk to the Old Port from this quiet neighborhood in 15 minutes or head over to Washington Ave, for amazing food, distilleries and breweries!
The Space:
We have free parking! And outdoor space! A full kitchen for cooking in, located walking distance to some of Portlands best restaurants and breweries.
The Neighborhood:
Portlands Munjoy Hill is removed from the hustle and bustle of the Old Port. This is a gem of a neighborhood, lesser seen by most tourists. Portland is very walkable you can walk from one end of the peninsula to the other in 45 min! We love how quiet and quant the "Hill" is and know you will too! The Eastern Prom is great for picnicking and the view of the Bay is breathtaking. This spot is great for guests who want to be in the city but skip the late night noise of downtown. The Portland Observatory is on the top of the Hill and is worth a visit. Rent kayaks and paddle boards at the East End Beach or check out Washington Ave for a food adventure! I (Alex) live on the hill and find myself staying being satisfied with not going into the Old Port. Its better up here! It's Portlands best kept secret!
Getting Around:
We walk or bike everywhere! Uber and Lyft are readily available and super inexpensive. The #1 bus is also a great way to head across town, it runs from one end of Congress to the other.
