Summary: I rented this thinking it was a private apartment. Although the ad says "shared space", I interpreted that to mean that the common areas in the building were shared. In fact, this is a private room+bathroom that is in an apartment that is shared with four other bedrooms. The common space (one room with a combined kitchen + couch and two chairs) would be fairly small if all the bedrooms were occupied. Fortunately, only one of other bedrooms was occupied when we moved in, although we were told that none of the other bedrooms were being used. My partner and I are an older couple in our late 40s/early 50s, and we were not interested in sharing a space with anyone else. He also needed a well-lit, private space to make online content. We asked to be let out of the agreement almost immediately after moving in, offering to pay for the first two weeks (which was how much time we would have had to cancel before moving in). The owner only offered to reimburse us for half the duration of our original booking, even though we gave him plenty of warning and we were only there for 25% of the original booking duration. When all was said and done, we were reimbursed for significantly less than half the cost of the original booking (over $1000 less even accounting for VRBO fees). If you are staying for more than 3 months, it's 1/3 the price to rent a room directly from the building management (cloverattheparks.com). Finally, the bed is too small and flimsy for two adults
