Enjoy rustic Maine at its finest in this magical cozy camp one hour from downtown Portland. Great place for a working vacation. School-age kid friendly.
You won't want to leave once you're here, but you'll be just 15 scenic minutes from the beaches at the majestic Reid State Park, great options on the island for dining and lobster, and things to do up and down the coast of Maine.
Back at the camp, you can enjoy the almost 180° views of where the storied Kennebec River meets the bay/ocean on the deck or the glass/screen porch (also a popular sleeping option!). Other options for sleeping include a queen bed/bedroom on the first floor which has best access to the bathroom plus three additional bedrooms upstairs, including two with two twin beds each and one with one full bed. Technically the camp could sleep 8 or 10 but due to fragile systems, we only allow 6. But as you can see, this gives you many options for sleeping.
Other things to note
Plan to bring warm clothes, though, as the camp is not winterized and it can get cold at night - even in July. There's a gas "wood stove" to cozy up by in the morning.
This is a place for games and reading, not TV, but we do have pretty good wifi if you want to watch movies on your computer.
