Summary: I enjoyed staying here. The staff were very patient with my elderly family members. However: I am legally blind without my glasses, and even though I spent three hours deep cleaning my room (I'm in perimenopause, and I've NEVER been charged an additional room fee) they charged my dad $20 for "excessive messiness..." Well...it wasn't me, or if there was a spot, I didn't see it because I'm nearsighted and I take my glasses off for deep cleaning. I hope that Rachel reads this and gives folx who are stressed out some grace. I'm sorry I couldn't leave a tip, but I discussed the reason why that might not be possible with my finances. To be traveling alone with C-PTSD, Autism, and ADHD is not easy, but I'm almost 40 and I know how to take care of myself. And I know how to clean a motel room. If you are not legally blind, this is probably a great place to stay, but honestly, my feelings are hurt. Value is good, but my favorite place to stay up here is the Skylark, they are far kinder and more understanding of their clientelle. Plus, this location is not for folx who just want a room key--please note: staff is not always reachable, especially if you're having a hot flash in the middle of the night, need ice, and the office keypad is not functioning correctly. I hope the owners read this review and refund my dad the $20. I would have paid for the room myself but I'm currently dealing with identity theft. Regards, Katherine.
