Summary: Initially, I loved the face that Nathalie communicated in English, then she went to French, so it took using online app to communicate with her. We had a bad start as I got a text saying she'd let me in at 7:30 a.m. and she meant pm. I didn't get into my apartment until after 8 p.m. and yes, still had to pay for the day. The apartment itself was quaint, but there were spiderwebs and tiny roaches. There was no heat, so it was really cold. The patio is tiny, sad and messy. One of the kitchen drawers would fall, every time I tried to get a pan and the light in the entry hallway is on an extension cord draped on a tree branch. The building itself smelled of a vey heavy smoker when you went into the dark hallway. If you got home after dark, the whole building was dark and you had to fumble in to turn light on. There was no one around to communicate with, so really sad. The elevator was tiny closet-sized. Being claustrophobic, it was crazy! It really did feel like I was getting into a closet. Parking is another story. There is none! Only 4 spaces just outside, so first come first serve. This made is hard for someone in another country to enjoy going into Paris and truly enjoying as if I'd get home after dark, I'd probably have to park across the street a few blocks away. Oh, and she provides a washer, but not a dryer. I had to lay clothes around the apartment to dry. lol. Yes, there is a small grocery store nearby within walking distance and the bus was just outside. It is probably ideal for someone who does not have a car. If she had been honest about this, I would not have rented the place. I felt afraid most of the time while there as there are buildings up and down the street that are being torn down. Like I said, if you don't have a car and are a loner and don't mind the dark, go for it. If your plan is to enjoy Paris, yes, it's 24 minutes away, but with traffic, count on lots of traffic time. I like the company and lots of light and ample parking. On a positive note, as time went on, I got used the the apartment itself. It was home for two weeks and gave me the feeling I needed of starting over and having my own place. I learned I can do it! Oh, and I loved all the mirrors. Kept me quite self conscious. lol Overall, it was okay. Thank you for your efforts, Nathalie, and best wishes.
