1 Bedroom House with Air Conditioner, Bedding and Kitchen
Only a short 10 minute drive from Hot Springs, you can unwind and relax in the beauty of the glorious Appalachian mountains! Your journey begins with a beautiful tree lined drive down into the French Broad Valley. Retreat to a beautifully maintained and newly renovated 130+ year old farmhouse set on 38.8 magical mountain and farm acres.
We operate a very small (9 sites) campground that is located across the RR tracks from the house. You cannot see the campground from the house and you will enjoy complete privacy. However, you will have a view of your naturally private riverfront hang out spot-complete with shade and rain canopy, firebowl with firewood provided, charcoal grill, chairs, and a hammock. Grilling supplies are provided. Feel free to explore the campground and the 1/2 mile of riverside to your heart’s pleasure.
We have a Tube Run that follows the 1/2 mile riverfront of our property (15-20 minute float), so definitely bring your tubes. You can even drop in under the Hot Springs bridge just below the World Famous Hot Springs Spa and float to our private “ beach” at the end of the property (1- 1 1/2 hour float), where the water is low and slow.
Find ultimate relief in the cold restorative waters of Bubbling Spring and the delightful natural swimming hole it provides. Nestled among a quiet and peaceful forest, it flows into the French Broad River at the beach.
The views are absolutely stunning everywhere you look; from the Appalachian Mountains to the banks of the French Broad River and everything in between.
Because we have no light pollution on our secluded acreage, on clear nights you can see the Milky Way and thousands of fireflies in the summer!
