Built on the side of Town Mountain and 3 miles from the Blairsville Historical Square, this guest suite will sleep 2 adults. This 1,000 sf suite is spacious and comfortable with a great view overlooking our beautiful town and mountain view across the valley. Located on a private, one-lane road, the entry to the suite will include coming up a steep driveway. By taking a "wide" turn up the driveway, entry is easy and does not require 4WD. Windows across the front of the suite along with a set of French doors face the valley and mountain view. A BBQ grill, large rocking chairs and a table with chairs are available for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Many of our guests enjoy coffee in the morning and a beverage in the evening as they sit in the rocking chairs on this large porch. Our sunsets and mountain views are breathtaking with colors never seen before.
The large inviting bedroom includes a queen bed with extra pillows, linens and always an extra blanket or two. The large closet and dresser provide plenty of space for your personal items. The room is hidden behind two huge white-washed barn doors that separate the living room, fireplace and TV from the bedroom.
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you will need along with coffee, teas, hot chocolate and seasonings in the pantry. Paper products including paper towels, napkins and paper plates along with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, mugs, flatware and utensils are always available.
The dining room has a 130+ year old table with chairs. There is a work station which includes a charging area and a few other pieces of furniture. A couple of games and puzzles are perfect for indoor activities.
The bathroom has a step-in shower, vanity with mirror, and storage for towels. We have included a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body gel. Toilet paper and tissues are provided.
Air conditioning and central heat are maintained from the main floor of the house. The space is always cool, so a fire place will provide wonderful ambiance along with adequate heating for the fall and winter months only. Parking is in our garage and an opener is available during your stay. A two-level ramp makes bringing in luggage easy and only 7 steps at the top of the ramp are needed to enter your space. Check in is a breeze with a key pad while your privacy is our priority during your stay, yet we are always available should you need assistance.
Resource materials on shopping, restaurants, food shopping, hiking trails and water falls are a necessity. The Appalachian Trail is less than 10 miles from our location. There is a notebook that will contain all of this information and more.
The Chattanooga National Forest is just behind our back yard. We will find many furry visitors to include fox, deer, coyote, bobcat and bear. Though fun to watch, we tend to enjoy them from a distance.
