Tucked into the hillside, at the end of a one lane road, you'll find this private garden cottage, offering the perfect base for your LA adventure. Built in 1923 as a home-away-from-home for the contract players working for Vitagraph / Warner Bros Studio, this cottage continues to provide a respite from the city for visitors looking for more than just a hotel room.
The cottage itself has been updated to include all the modern conveniences, like brand new kitchen appliances, updated bathrooms, wifi with a super fast fiber optic network connection, central air and heat, skylights (not to mention a glass sunroof attached to the kitchen), and even a king sized bed, with a mattress purchased directly from the supplier for the ACE hotel chain (because we loooove those beds!!).
But what really sets this property apart is whats just outside the door. You'll find yourself in a unique private space, built into the hillside and surrounded by decks, with an additional rock garden surrounded by bamboo, al fresco dining, and even a rooftop clawfoot bathtub. We built this as our sanctuary from the city- the ultimate place to recharge.
With all that privacy, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that beyond the foliage, you are smack dab in the middle of the most sought after neighborhood in LA- walking distance to both the Sunset Junction, and the shops and restaurants of Los Feliz), and a quick 10 minute drive to get to either Downtown LA or Hollywood.
