5 Bedroom House with TV, Balcony and Kitchen
Note: The house is rented for 3-4 weeks per summer, maximum, so it is well taken care of and lovingly used. The cabin is NOT rented out in the winter.
This is a large, airy 3,000+ sq ft cabin is just 2 flat blocks from the lake. Perfect for family reunions or multiple families to share. You shouldn't have to share a room with your snoring brother-in-law! No bunk beds. No one has to sleep in the living room. Our cabin offers plenty of space and privacy.
The kitchen is large and well-equipped so cooking and sharing meals together is fun. Diningroom table seats at least 12+. Big deck right off the greatroom with tables, chairs and sunshade. Gas BBQ grill. Greatroom has large stone fireplace, multiple couches, TV with DirecTV including HBO and ApplTV, Ground floor has a pool table, pinpong and foozeball for hours of fun.
Fiberoptic internet with downloads of up to 60mbps.
There are six separate sleeping areas. Three bedrooms on the main level, an enclosed loft with 4 twin beds, a bedroom downstairs, plus a small alcove with a queen futon. (A doorway but no door. Not technically a bedroom but still way better than sofabed in the living room.) Beds include: Two Queen, Two Full, Six Twin & One Queen Futon. One bedroom has a full bed and a separate twin. One twin is a day bed on the ground floor. Three full bathrooms.
The house is two flat blocks from the north end of the two lakes where the canoe is stored. There are two kayaks at the house which you are welcome to take to the lake for the day. The community beach is a 20 minute walk, a 7 minute (level) bike ride or 5 minutes by car.
Serene Lakes is a hidden gem just a few minutes off of I-80. Summers are low-key and relaxed. No crowds. Hike, bike, swim, canoe, explore. No need to drive far, if at all. Perfect for kids. Of course Truckee, Donner Lake, Tahoe and Reno are nearby if you want a change-of-pace.
Many of our summer renters are repeat visitors. Two groups have rented from us for nine years.
We have a dog so be aware if you have allergy issues (the house will be thoroughly cleaned) but unfortunately we cannot allow pets as guests?
