Unplug in my nostalgic 1966 retreat with 3 bedrooms accommodate 7 adults, and more if you bring blow-up beds. I supply coffee service, snacks, wine, and breakfast for 2+ nights. Toiletries, soap, sheets and towels are provided. No cleaning fee!!
Conveniently located near Lee University, this newly renovated 1966 nostalgic charmer sits on a beautiful, flat 1/2 acre with a lovely creek running to the right of the property. I provide free internet, spices, coffee service, snacks, sheets and towels, high end beds and pillows, and a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances. I always have a bottle of red and white wine on hand and offer breakfast items for a 2-night stay or longer. No cleaning fee!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a unique experience WITHOUT television. You can certainly watch all your shows via internet if desired. But it is my hope that you will unwind, read books from my rich library, play old records or my electric guitar and just unplug with your friends and family.
My country kitchen has total seating for 12, with 2 island seats, seating for 6 at the kitchen table and additional seating for 4 in the glassed-in Florida room. Two half staircases offer easy access to the 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs and a 4th bedroom with half bath and laundry, on the terrace level--UNDER RENOVATION DURING JULY AND AUG. Also on the terrace level, you will find an office area, sitting area, half bath and laundry, games, an ongoing puzzle, a walk out patio with bench swing in the back, berry bushes and young fruit trees growing outside.
The large master bedroom comes with a king-sized Purple-brand bed, with a small private bath and walk-in shower. The second bedroom offers a queen adjustable bed, and the twin room has an exposed brick wall and a high-end firm mattress. The hall bath has gorgeous original pink tile, new commode and sink, upgraded cabinets, and the original cast iron pink tub. Shower head is raised to accommodate folks up to 6’6” in height with great water pressure.
There is a large fireplace upstairs and a cast iron wood burning stove on the terrace level with a cord of wood in the carport for winter stays.
The home is 1.8 miles from Lee University, and convenient to 3 grocery stores and many restaurants. Walk to the City Cafe for breakfast or dinner. Around the corner is a large play park. I am looking forward to having you!
