Located in the desirable Reed Creek area of Hartwell, Georgia on 56,000 acre Lake Hartwell. This unique property is situated on 2+ lakefront acres, fenced, gated & wooded, on a long driveway for the ultimate private lake retreat home. Nine acres of woods to the right and you can hardly see the closest neighbor to the left - this is one of the most private properties on the lake. Four decks, outdoor gas fire table, wood burning chiminea, all new kitchen appliances/granite, a 2nd refrigerator and there is even a bass boat available for rent.
Offering 3 levels of open concept living designed with the extended family in mind. Lots of natural light & woodwork, the home is spacious & comfortable in & out with 2 family rooms, 5 decks & screen porch. Stroll to the private dock via the lighted pathway and enjoy stairs into deep water at the dock; fish, swim, sunbathe or sit in the shade! Never change a propane tank in the stationary gas grill and fire table. Roku TVs, kayaks, paddle boat, baby & Fido gear-ask me!
Beds: 3 Kings, 4 Twin beds (2 are trundles); 3 Master bedrooms all on separate levels, 2 with ensuite bathrooms and the 3rd has a hall bath with door that closes off the entire level for an entire suite of privacy. Bathrooms on all 3 levels with a tub/shower combination.
Enjoy the views from the loft through a wall of windows that open to create a lovely breeze - it's like being in the treetops. The loft level boasts a spacious and private King master suite with ensuite bath and ability to adjust temperatures with a separate thermostat controlled heat/ac unit. The main level has 2 bedrooms - one has a King bed with a jack & jill bathroom to hall. The 2nd level also has a bedroom with 2 twin beds (one is a trundle), changing table in the walk-in closet, pack & play, potty seat and convertible high chair/booster (for baby & toddler). Also on the main level is the entry to the home from the driveway, 1 of 2 family rooms, kitchen, dining, screen room and open deck around the entire house. The lower level has a door that allows guests to close off the entire level for a private suite that includes a spacious King bedroom with the ability to adjust temperatures with a separate thermostat controlled heat/ac unit, a large bathroom plus a second family room with sofa, loveseat, chair and 2 twin beds (one is a trundle). Each of the three levels has a spacious full bathroom with tub/shower combo. All mattresses and pillows have zippered waterproof protectors.
Your dogs will enjoy the two acres fenced & gated, gated decks and dog doors. There is a large crate in case there is separation anxiety. I can make arrangements for additional crates if needed.
The entire property is wooded, right down to the waterfront. Tons of shoreline and you can walk several hundred feet of shoreline for exploring or fishing. You can fish directly from the banks, dipping your line into a clear creek where you can see the fish swimming as the sunlight shines through the trees, or fish off the dock as well.
Enjoy gorgeous sunset views from the dock. The cove is huge and quiet with few docks, safely relax while swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, paddle-boating, canoeing. Bring your jet skis and boats. A little-known and rarely used boat ramp is just a mile away! There are no docks or houses looking to the right and the few docks to the lefts are far enough away to give a feeling of privacy at the dock even on busy holiday weekends.
The lighted walkway to the deep water dock is a very gentle sloping walk, meandering alongside a lovely inlet great for fishing and over a little bridge. Two natural springs originate on the property and feed into the lake, the fish congregate here! The walkway connecting the dock to land is situated to ensure continued dock access despite fluctuating lake levels that occur due to rain, drought and Corps dam activity.
There dock has wood Adirondack chairs, zero gravity chairs, a glider bench, and a bench seat as well as an umbrella for shade. You may lounge on our pontoon tied up to the dock. Slip into the water easily using the water stairs. The lake view is amazing, and it is so private compared to some other areas of the lake. Tie up your boat alongside the dock or to my pontoon.
Take the paddle boat or kayaks out onto the water - it's almost always calm out here and we typically see very few boats in our large deepwater cove. Feel free to bring your own boat and tie up to our dock or pontoon. Access the water from the shoreline or use the convenient steps down into the water from the dock. The boat launch is less than a mile by road, 1/2 mile by water. For an additional $500 security deposit use of bass boat with trolling motor $25/day.
For your use a full size washer and dryer. Dog bowls and extra large crate. Baby/pet gates. Lots of baby gear including full size crib and changing table, learning stand and high chair, booster seat, baby bath seat and diaper genie. Loads of kids toys and games. Tetherball, slide and sandbox. Lake floats, 2 kayaks, paddle boat come with the rental. Kids love the seated wagon with seatbelts. A large metal wagon and cooler for convenience.
The kitchen boasts new appliances including a gas stove and is well equipped with all the usual cookware plus a large roasting pan, muffin, cake & cookie pans, crock pot, electric griddle, quesadilla maker, electric chopper, coffee grinder, blender, mixer, electric juicer, a keurig & a drip coffee maker, 4 slice toaster & toaster oven. The pantry is stocked with all the basic spices & other staples required when creating a terrific meal.
The neighborhood is terrific for biking on a paved surface- it's very quiet, well-established with several year round homeowners. We are close to mountain biking trails at Payne's Creek or take the kids to the drive-thru wildlife safari, explore the botanical garden in town or one if the many weekend markets and festivals.
