This detached cottage is single storey and deceptively spacious, enjoying an elevated location looking out across the stunning scenery of the Coquet Valley and the Simonside Hills. The cottage offers comfortable and homely accommodation, suiting a small family, couples or group of friends. The living room is light and bright with large bay window affording fabulous views. A large leather corner sofa wraps the room with an additional armchair, a cosy wood burner for cooler months and large smart TV for your entertainment. The bedrooms are spacious with ample storage with the master bedroom enjoying fabulous views to enjoy with your morning cuppa. There is a bathroom with bath and electric shower over. A well-equipped kitchen has all the appliances you will need and leads into a dining room with six seater table. Steps down lead into the garden room with seating and breakfast table to enjoy the scenery. French doors lead out into the lovely lawned garden with a sitting out area, table and chairs to enjoy an outdoor meal.
Glenesk is on the edge of the small village of Thropton and a 700-yard downhill walk leads to the local pub. Only 2 miles further is the historic market town of Rothbury, with its pretty riverside inns and tea rooms. The National Trust property, Cragside House, in Rothbury makes for a good day out, and its gardens are a delight. Alnwick Castle is only 14 miles away, where you can explore the enchanting gardens and the magnificent castle. Otterburn is easily reached, and you can drive on to Kielder Water and explore the National Park. After a busy day touring, Glenesk makes a welcome retreat to come back to. Beach 17 miles. Shops 2 miles, pub and restaurant 700 yards. Beach 19 miles.
