PRIME LOCATION! This charming log cabin offers a peaceful and tranquil retreat surrounded by trees and a nearby creek. Located near Fish Haven Canyon and just a short drive from beautiful Bear Lake, this home offers the best of both worlds - the convenience of being close to activities and attractions, but also the seclusion and remoteness of a true cabin getaway.
Warmth and nostalgia surround guests from the moment they step inside. This family-cabin-turned-vacation rental is the perfect place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. This cabin offers a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Main Level
Large windows all around, showing off the natural beauty of Fish Haven Canyon. The kitchen is well-stocked and plenty of room for everyone. There is additional seating and picnic tables outside on the deck to dine during the good weather. The living room has comfortable seating and gorgeous rustic decor. Two couches in the main gathering area convert to sofa beds. There is a television to relax and watch movies or the couches make a perfect spot to read a book and enjoy the views. The stunning stone fireplace completes the look of the Bear Lake cabin. There is a laundry room that leads to a half bathroom also.
Upstairs
A staircase wraps around the gorgeous chimney and leads to a tucked-away loft with a full-sized futon (sleeps 2) and a snug twin bunk bed. Though the loft isn't enclosed, it is fairly private. The master suite next to the loft with a queen bed, television, and private balcony for the best morning mountain views. The en-suite bathroom has two separate vanities, a luxurious bathtub and separate shower.
Basement
Cozy doesn't even begin to describe the basement! There is more comfortable seating, pellet stove for the colder months, a television, ping pong table, and a nook under the stairs for children to play, along with toys and books. In the corner, there is a twin bunk bed. There are three bedrooms on this level, each with a queen bed, and one with a crib. A pack and play crib is also available. There is also a 3/4 bathroom. Guests can access the home through the basement as well as the main level.
Outdoors
Step outside to 3 acres of pristine wilderness, where you can play yard games in the circular driveway, explore nature, and create lasting memories. The property, adjacent to BLM land, offers stunning mountain views and a tranquil creek just minutes away. It is located at the end of a lane, away from neighbors and other tourists. It will just be you, your group, and the beauty of the Bear Lake Valley! Go ahead and borrow the kayaks at the home to spend spend some time enjoying the Caribbean of the Rockies!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this property. There are three nice bedrooms in the quiet dark and cooler basement (this is where the adults ended up staying) and a nice master bedroom and bath upstairs outside of the loft area, which turned out to be great for the teens. The television area in the basement was nice and cozy, and excellent for movies at night. One thing I quickly realized was that there was no cell service, and our GPS struggled to find the address - look for the gate as shown in the photos. Once we connected to the wi-fi, the cell service issue was no longer a concern. The wi-fi worked well and was sufficient for four consistent users, as well as streaming services on the television. There was no AC, other than portable units and fans. But the heat wasn't too bad, and our stay was mid-August. We also had a few minor issues with the appliances, like the fridge not getting cold enough and the oven not working at all. The kitchen dishes were older and there wasn't enough glassware, the regular drinking glasses were acrylic and very used—many of the dishes needed to be re-washed. Plenty of towels and blankets. Each shower had shampoo and conditioner. We also appreciated the toys that were in the basement for the kids. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The few minor inconveniences mentioned above weren't a big deal and the host was amazing and responded quickly to each message and over service personnel as needed.
