Shaw Gill Wood stands to the rear of the property, with its series of pretty waterfalls and a wonderful display of bluebells in the Spring. An excellent base to explore the whole of the Dales with walks from the doorstep, a 20 minute stroll takes you to Hardraw Force, England’s highest unbroken waterfall above ground, with the Pennine Way and the ’Buttertubs’ Pass nearby.
