Summary: The apartment I originally rented supposedly had a pipe burst and i was forced to stay several miles away from my original selected neighborhood with very minimal notice and nearly the time my guests were arriving and therefore I was left with little to no time to make other arrangements. Communication with the host was/is awful! Too many hoops to jump through simply to rent a place for a couple of nights. The host was over an hour late to let me in an apartment complex and I firmly believe the host is renting the apartment unauthorized and without permission from the apartment complex which makes coming and going very awkward when passing apartment staff as if I/we are doing something wrong because the host tells you last minute as u are checking in that if there is a problem with the unit (emergency or otherwise) to contact the host and not the property management and if you are to contact Apt. Property Management for any reason, that is grounds for immediate termination of your stay and no refunds!! WOW!?! Last minute deposit that the host holds you hostage to pay a prior undisclosed amount and guaranteed to be paid back within 5 to 7 days after checkout. Well, 10 TEN days after departure, I inquire about the refund of my deposit as I left the rental cleaner than when I entered it and I was told "send me proof of payment!!" The experience was less than acceptable and I recommend the host make some very important and necessary changes for the convenience of their guests. Thank you
