A beautiful balance between nature and culture! Romantic, charming, a little bit French, very comfortable house with 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6),.The sofa couch has a very comfy air-mattress incorporated in it. Let us know so we can give you the pump. We have a large hot tub on a private back deck, a cozy and easy to use gas fireplace, & all amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, Roku TV, DVD player, hair dryer etc). Lots of natural light, river in front of house, and a stream behind. The incredible location has it all: alpine ski during the winter and all outdoors activities you can imagine in the Spring and Summer. The ski resorts Hunter, Belleayre are close by, the national forest as our back yard.! You're just a walk across a quaint bridge from the center of Phoenicia, mentioned in the NY Times' 'Havens' column. Great variety of restaurants, Brios, Phoenicia Diner, The Phoenician etc. shops, and NYC buss stop that brings you there from Port Authority in just over two hours! Perfect for couples with/without children, with or without cars, family/friend reunions, or solitary retreats from the city.
Let us know if you are celebrating something special, and expect a few "extra" surprises! I run the phenomenal Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice (check the website) with more than 30 events in 5 days ranging from opera to Broadway with international stars!!
It's a pet friendly house (we will ask for an extra $20/night/pet. ). We usually do not ask wether it is a dog or a chimpanzee ( Hadn't have a chimpanzee yet!).
No one will be renting the next door attached studio during your stay!! The owner ( moi!) is there occasionally but you would never see me :) OFFER A WEEKEND GATEWAY!! WE DO GIFT CERTIFICATES! inquire with me! Early check-in and/or late check-out when possible for a fee of $40 each. .
